There's on old saying: "It's not what you say, but how you say it". Regardless of what instrument someone chooses, or what style of music they play, their performance can make or break them. It can be frightening or rewarding, and my job is to make sure my students overcome their fear and feel great about every performance.
I have been performing since age five on stage in front of family, friends and strangers. It has given me a lot of courage when approaching new people and being confident in a crowd.
I help students feel the emotion behind the music, allowing their sensitivity and stage presence to move the audience. Eye contact, posture and confidence can be the first steps to feeling comfortable on stage. Fine tuning the craft can make a performance life-changing, both for the artist and for the audience.
